What Heavy Trip Is About
A metal band in a small Finnish town that has rehearsed for twelve years without ever playing a show convinces itself it has been invited to a festival in Norway, and sets off. The comedy comes entirely from incompetence and the film never mocks its characters. The jokes about metal culture are written from the inside, so the rehearsal discipline is as accurate as the stage costumes. The road section grows steadily more absurd on purpose. The singer's stage fright is the actual story underneath.
