Hello!

Seenu grew up on the street and was raised by a couple who adopted him. As a child he meets a girl; they are together briefly and are then separated. She goes and he never finds her again. Fourteen years pass. Both are looking for the other, both remember that day, and they miss each other again and again in the same city. Vikram Kumar writes and directs. Akhil Akkineni and Kalyani Priyadarshan take the leads, with Ramya Krishnan and Jagapati Babu in the cast. Vikram Kumar had been known for science fiction and thrillers built on time and identity; this is his move into romance. What the narrative builds is the missed moment. The paths of the two cross many times and each time a small reason intervenes; the film constructs it as a chain of coincidence. The music and the images are strong; the night scenes in the city and the concert passages are carefully shot. Its problem is the script. The central idea can be summed up in a sentence, and the action and family strands added to fill two hours scatter the narrative. It is Akhil Akkineni's second film and his performance was better received than in the first. Who it is for: viewers who like Telugu romance and music driven productions. Who it is not for: the narrative is weak, the coincidences are forced, and the second half changes genre.
