What Hogo Fogo Homolka Is About

The Homolka family are celebrating a great occasion: they have finally managed to buy a car. They start at once on short outings, to Hradcany and to the airport. They plan further trips after that. A letter from the great grandmother spoils the mood. The great grandfather is dying and the family are expected to come and say goodbye. The Homolkas agree to it in a thoroughly put out frame of mind. In the end they set off for the South Bohemian village where the grandparents live. The film builds the selfishness inside a family as comedy. Jaroslav Papoušek’s Czechoslovak film of 1971 runs seventy eight minutes.
