I'm an Old Communist Hag

The film is about a generation that cannot adjust to the reality after the revolution. Emilia is a woman from that generation, and she misses the order that is gone. To her those years were a golden age, and she does not shrink from saying so. The people around her do not understand that stance and sometimes laugh at it. The film does not make her ridiculous; it asks where the nostalgia comes from. That when an order collapses people’s own life stories are voided along with it is the real subject. The title comes from what Emilia calls herself. The account runs comedy and drama together. Luminița Gheorghiu takes the lead, with Marian Rîlea and Ana Ularu also in the cast. Stere Gulea’s ninety four minute Romanian film was completed in 2013.
