It Happened on This Very Day

It is 1963 in Belgrade. There is a yard with buildings around it. Young people spend their days there. They come from different backgrounds. Some have money and some do not. What they think about love and about proving themselves is much the same. A friendship forms among them. The events of the period come into the yard too. There are voluntary work drives. There is the Youth Day parade. Those were ordinary things in those years. What happens in that yard reads like the story of a whole generation, with the everyday and the political set side by side. Žarko Laušević and Srđan Todorović appear in the ninety three minute film, a Yugoslav production Miroslav Lekić finished in 1987.
