Kaalidhar Laapata

Kaalidhar is a man who has grown old. One day he overhears his family planning to leave him behind. He walks out of the house without saying anything. On the road he meets Ballu, someone full of life. Together the two of them go after the things Kaalidhar always wanted to do and never did. A real friendship forms between them in spite of the difference in age. The film does not pull being abandoned towards pathos; it puts the man’s own decision at the centre. The hundred and nine minutes are given to that journey. Abhishek Bachchan and Daivik Baghela take the leads, with Nimrat Kaur also in the cast. Madhumita’s Indian film was completed in 2025.
