Sreenu Vaitla's 2008 Telugu film follows Raja, who runs the family business and takes on his brother's education. His uncles are unhappy with the arrangement; a situation arising during a journey forces Raja to behave as though he were someone else. The humour is built on confusion of identity. Raja has to carry two personalities at once and every encounter requires a new lie; Brahmanandam's supporting role carries most of the comic weight. Nagarjuna leads. Vaitla made many films in this shape; family drama, action and comedy sit in the same narrative with frequent shifts of register. The running time is long and the plot crowded. Who it's for: those who like Telugu commercial cinema and comedy-driven action. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a consistent tone; the film moves between serious and comic sections without warning.
