Kissi Se Na Kehna

Kailash is a widower. His son Ramesh has come of age to marry. The father goes looking for a suitable wife. He does not care for the girls he sees. To him they are all too modern. It bothers him that they speak English. He wants a traditional village girl. Ramesh’s heart is already elsewhere. Ramola is a well educated doctor. She speaks English and lives in the city. It is clear the father will not accept her. The three of them make a plan. Ramola will act the part of a village girl. The pretence holds for a while. Then things get tangled. The film tells it as a comedy. Farooq Shaikh and Deepti Naval appear in the one hundred forty one minute film, an Indian production Hrishikesh Mukherjee finished in 1983.
