The Man Who Strikes Gold

Adem is a poorly paid office porter. When word arrives that an uncle in America has left him a large inheritance, he is suddenly the most important man in the neighbourhood and at work. Even the father who would not let him marry Şükran changes his mind and accepts him. Then a crate really does arrive from America. What comes out of it is a donkey. Everyone expecting a share of the money withdraws within a day. This time Adem sets up the game himself and teaches the lot of them a lesson. Atıf Yılmaz directs, with Kemal Sunal as Adem and Meral Orhonsay as Şükran, and Ali Şen and Sami Hazinses in the cast. Eighty-two minutes. What it is about is not an inheritance but how fast people change when money appears.
