Kymatica

The documentary is directed by Ben Stewart. It takes up cymatics, the visualising of sound vibration, together with shamanic practice. Among its subjects are the human psyche, spirituality and altered states of consciousness. The account offers these not as a scientific examination but through the director’s own reading. The connections the film draws are the work’s own claims; the documentary does not open them to argument. The director had made an earlier work called Esoteric Agenda, and this film was presented as its continuation. Because no source is given for the claims, a viewer is left with no way to check them. There is one name in its cast: Ben Stewart himself. Ben Stewart’s eighty four minute American documentary was completed in 2009.
