Laid-Back Camp the Movie

Nadeshiko, Rin, Chiaki, Aoi and Ena are not high school students any more. Nadeshiko works at an outdoor goods shop in Tokyo, Rin at a magazine. When their paths cross again an idea surfaces: build a campsite together. The film follows that project, permits, land clearing, budget and the problem of finding time included. The final episode of the series had a scene where Nadeshiko imagined them all as adults, and the film is an original story grown from it. So this is a continuation, not a compilation. The register has shifted too: the lightness of camping gives way to work, distance and scheduling, while the calm of the telling is kept. Yoshiaki Kyogoku directed from a story by Jin Tanaka and Mutsumi Ito, produced by C-Station and distributed by Shochiku. Who it's for: Viewers who know the series, and anyone who likes healing narratives and camping anime. Who it's not for: Newcomers will be missing the characters' history, and the plot is deliberately quiet, so anyone after tension or momentum will be bored.
