What Le Créateur Is About
Darius had a large success with his first play, drank his way through the aftermath, and has been drying out in a clinic. He comes out to find that his producer has arranged everything for the second play: the leading lady is signed, the theatre is booked, the opening night has been announced. The only thing missing is the play, of which Darius has written nothing. Between the panic, the empty page and the date bearing down on him, he arrives at a peculiar conviction: that in order to write he has to kill. Albert Dupontel wrote it, directed it and stars in it. One of the wilder specimens of French black comedy, and it goes as far as it goes without stopping to measure.
