What Little Men Is About
When Jake's grandfather dies, the family moves into the Brooklyn building he left them. Downstairs is Leonor's dress shop, kept for years at a rent well below the street, and Jake's father, whose own career is going nowhere, has to raise it. Meanwhile Jake and Leonor's son Tony become inseparable, one drawing, the other set on acting. As the dispute hardens, the boys find a strange weapon: they stop speaking to their parents. Ira Sachs writes no villains, only two sides who are both right.
