Living in the Future's Past

The documentary is about where human beings stand in nature. Jeff Bridges carries the narration. Scientists and writers speak alongside him. The subjects taken up are wide ranging. Evolution, emergence and entropy are some of them. Dark ecology comes up as well. Some people are calling this the end of nature. The film gathers these ideas into one story. The narration joins scientific language to something more poetic. The production does not hand the viewer a ready solution. It asks for thought instead.
