Lino is a mechanic who builds compartments into cars that nobody can find and gives engines impossible power. He was cleared in the first film, but one account stayed open: the police who killed his brother and his chief are still serving. Lino goes back to the workshop and rebuilds his own car. The subject is not revenge but the vehicle itself. The film is more interested in engines than guns: which part goes where, where an impact comes from. The chases are shot with real cars and real collisions rather than digital effects, and the camera stays inside. The form is narrow and fast. The narrative wraps in under ninety minutes, there is little dialogue and no recap of anyone's history. For anyone who has not seen the first film some connections dangle. It was among the most watched of France's Netflix action productions and the series ran to a third film. Alban Lenoir performs most of the fighting himself, and that physical reality is what the series is known for. Guillaume Pierret directs. Stéfi Celma and Pascale Arbillot are in the cast. Who it is for: viewers who like vehicular action and short, direct genre films. Who it is not for: anyone after character depth; the narrative is entirely functional and nobody develops.
