What Maisie Is About
Maisie Ravier works on the stage. Her tongue is sharp and her answers come quickly. She finds herself stranded in a small Wyoming town. Her employer has closed the show early. She has no money and nowhere to go. There she runs into Slim, the foreman of a ranch. He accuses her of lifting his wallet. The quarrel turns around and Maisie ends up taking work at the ranch. She is to keep the house. The owners of the place are Cliff and Sybil. Their marriage is unsteady. Sybil has had an affair with a cowboy. Now the two of them are trying to repair it. Without meaning to, Maisie lands in the middle of that knot. Ann Sothern, Robert Young and Ruth Hussey appear in the seventy five minute film, an American production Edwin L. Marin finished in 1939.
