What Marguerite's Theorem Is About
Marguerite’s future at France’s most selective school is already mapped out: the only woman in her year, she is about to present a thesis on prime numbers to a room full of researchers. On the day, an error turns up in the proof and every certainty she had about herself dissolves. She leaves the school, falls into a life she does not recognise, and finds mathematics again from somewhere completely different. Anna Novion is not filming a genius ascending but a person whose identity was attached to one thing, and what happens when that thing is taken away. Ella Rumpf plays Marguerite.
