François Cluzet What The Other Me Is About
Known in Greek as Eteros Ego, this mystery follows a criminology professor with Asperger's who tries to crack five murders by decoding a puzzle built on Pythagorean theorems, with François Cluzet in a notable supporting role. What makes the film's afterlife unusual is off screen: some Greek screenings were reportedly halted over claims it had inspired an actual killing, and that controversy has followed the film more than its plot ever did. The puzzle box structure leans on mathematical obsession rather than conventional detective work. Who it's for: viewers drawn to math driven mystery plotting and to seeing Cluzet in a rare Greek production. Who it's not for: anyone put off by a film shadowed by claims it inspired a real crime, or anyone wanting a straightforward, propulsive thriller instead of a conceptual puzzle.
