Dikkertje Dap and Raf the giraffe were born on the same day, and the boy spends most of his time at the zoo beside his closest friend. The two of them are never apart, until Dikkertje starts school for the first time and finds out that giraffes cannot go to school. He misses Raf badly, but he also finds exciting things at school and makes a new friend called Yous. Raf misses him too, so Dikkertje works out a plan to bring the giraffe to school and introduce his two friends to each other. Barbara Bredero’s seventy two minute Dutch film was adapted from a children’s poem; Liam de Vries takes the lead and it was completed in 2017.
