What On the Outs Is About
The film follows three young women living in Jersey City. One deals drugs, one is an addict, one is a pregnant teenager. All three have very few options in front of them. The account sets those options and the decisions taken side by side. The film does not lecture about anyone; it shows the conditions. Prison, addiction and motherhood are where the three lines cross. How fragile the young women’s dealings with the system are is the real subject. The eighty six minutes are divided among three stories.
