Paco de Lucía: La Búsqueda

The documentary is about a guitarist. His name was Paco de Lucía. He was born in Algeciras. He first picked up a guitar at seven. The film starts from that day. It then follows every stage of the career. Flamenco sits at the centre of the work. He also reached well beyond it. Many people speak here, in interviews recorded between 2010 and 2014. The account carries through to the making of his last album, Canción Andaluza. Paco de Lucía died unexpectedly in February 2014. His son Francisco Sánchez Varela made the film, which won the Goya for documentary in 2015. The ninety five minute documentary is a Spanish production finished in 2014.
