Passenger

Sathyanath is an ordinary office worker who takes the train in to work every day. His journey is full of habits that run like clockwork; he sleeps from one point and wakes at another. Nandan Menon is a lawyer who will not depart from the truth and stands against the injustices around him. One day the paths of these two men, who had nothing to do with each other, cross. The file Menon is pursuing unsettles powerful names and the danger grows. Sathyanath is drawn into it without meaning to be, and comes to ask how much protection being ordinary really gives. The film builds its tension not with large scenes but with the cost of having been a witness. Sreenivasan, Dileep and Mamta Mohandas appear in Ranjith Sankar’s hundred and eighteen minute Indian film, completed in 2009.
