Protagonist

The documentary tells the stories of four men. Each of them followed an obsession. One had been inside an armed group in Germany. His name is Hans-Joachim Klein. One robbed banks. Joe Loya later became a writer. One was a preacher who taught that people could be turned from being gay. Mark Pierpont later came out himself. One had given himself over to martial arts. Mark Salzman later became a novelist. The film lays the four lives side by side. The structure follows the shape of a Euripides tragedy, with scenes of Greek drama played by puppets in between. Marina Sirtis and Chris Diamantopoulos narrate the ninety minute documentary Jessica Yu finished in 2007, an American production.
