The film sets out from the reports the American journalist John Reed wrote about the Mexican Revolution. Reed followed the revolution on the ground and wrote what he saw. The account turns those writings into a work of fiction. The camera shows events not from a distance but from where the journalist stood. How the revolution looked at the front is the real subject. The film is counted the first genuine work on the revolution in Mexican cinema. It comes from independent Mexican cinema of 1972. Claudio Obregón and Eduardo López Rojas appear in Paul Leduc’s hundred and twenty four minute Mexican film, completed in 1972.
