Renegade: The Life Story of David Icke

The documentary is about David Icke. Icke was a footballer first. He played in goal and gave it up young. After that he worked as a sports presenter. He was at the BBC for a long time. For a time he was a spokesman for the Green Party. At the start of the nineties his life changed. From then on he began putting forward conspiracy theories. He wrote books and spoke in halls. The documentary rests on his own account of things. Icke talks about his past and about the criticism aimed at him. What he claims has found no support in scientific circles. Parts of what he says have been called antisemitic. Because of that he has been barred from entering some countries. Stephen Peek directed the documentary, an American production finished in 2019.
