What Seven Footprints to Satan Is About
A young man preparing for an expedition to Africa and his fiancée suspect that a guest staying in her father’s house means to steal one of his rubies. That night the two of them are abducted and shut up in a strange, dark mansion outside the city. Inside there is someone who says he is Satan, masked crowds, hidden doors and threats that do not resemble one another; the young man must solve the secret of the house in seven steps. The sets of the house and the use of shadow are what the film is most remembered for.
