What She Remembers, He Forgets Is About
Gigi, whose marriage is not working, begins looking for an answer in the past and returns to her school years. Those were years of friendship, of dreaming and of a city that looked otherwise; the account moves back and forth between then and now. As Gigi remembers she comes upon something left from that time that nobody knew, and it changes the decisions she is making today. The film makes the changing face of Hong Kong not the background of the story but part of its subject; the city too has stopped being what it was. The account slides into nostalgia yet never stops questioning it. Miriam Yeung Chin-Wah plays the lead in Adam Wong’s hundred and ten minute Hong Kong film, completed in 2015.
