What Small Town Girl Is About

Kay lives in a small country town. Her life is too dull and repetitive to bear. One night she runs into Bob Dakin. Bob is young, handsome and rich. He is drunk at the time and asks her for directions. Then he takes her out for a night on the town. Kay likes the stranger. Drunk, Bob decides they should marry, and Kay consents without hesitating much. Sober the next morning, Bob regrets the mistake. But his strict and upright parents want the two of them to pretend to be married for six months before divorcing, so as to avoid bad publicity. Bob resents Kay for standing between him and his fiancée Priscilla. Kay, for her part, hopes he will have a change of heart. Janet Gaynor and Robert Taylor take the leads in William A.
