What Space Travelers Is About

Three bank robbers who call themselves the Space Travelers take six people hostage when the police surround them. Among the hostages is someone carrying a hidden bomb. To get away, the robbers ask the hostages to act as though they were part of the gang, and surprisingly the hostages soon begin to enjoy doing it. Through that strange day the bank turns into a tropical paradise. The film holds tension and comedy inside the same scene and turns a hostage taking into a space for daydreaming. Takeshi Kaneshiro and Eri Fukatsu appear in Katsuyuki Motohiro’s hundred and twenty five minute Japanese film, completed in 2000.
