Sylwia is a fitness trainer with hundreds of thousands of followers: a live workout in the morning, sponsor shoots during the day, the camera on again at night. Then she posts a video of herself crying and everything wobbles. Sponsors get nervous, the following splits, and one fan's fixation turns dangerous. Magnus von Horn structures the film across three days and never leaves her alone, keeping the camera on her throughout. Its sharpest observation is that sincerity and performance can no longer be told apart: Sylwia is not lying, and everything she says is also content. Magdalena Kolesnik's performance won awards in Poland. It was part of the 2020 Cannes selection. Who it is for: viewers who like cool contemporary drama about social media and loneliness. Who it is not for: anyone who needs a likeable lead and a clean resolution.
