Kalyani is a poor labourer. He left school early. What he earns barely covers a living. His daughter Chellamma is eight years old. Kalyani is a father devoted to her. Chellamma is a child who lives in a world of her own. The school cannot cope with her as she is. The bond between father and daughter is at the centre of the account. Kalyani does what he can for her. The film shows the hardness of everyday life. A criticism of the education system is inside the account as well. Ram wrote the story together with his daughter. Ram and Sadhana take the leads, with Shelly Kishore and Rohini also in the cast, in Ram’s Tamil film of 2013.
