The Corridors of Power

The documentary takes American foreign policy as its subject. The account begins with the fall of the Berlin Wall. The three decades that followed are covered. Many wars were fought in that period. Mass killings took place as well. The film looks at how decisions were made. The arguments around the table are described. The question of whether to intervene returns again and again. The documentary speaks with former officials. Secretaries of state give their views. Soldiers and advisers tell their part. Some defend the decision they took. Some look back with regret. The film sets these accounts side by side. The story rests on a question the director himself asks. Colin Powell and Henry Kissinger appear in the one hundred thirty five minute documentary. It is a French, German, Israeli and American production Dror Moreh finished in 2022.
