The Human Factor

The documentary is about a peace process. The subject is the talks between Israel and its neighbours. The account covers roughly twenty five years. The American diplomats who ran the process speak. All of them were in the room. They give their own recollections. How the talks were set up is described. There were moments when agreement came close. Why it did not come is discussed. Historical and religious reasons are raised. Mutual distrust is brought to the front. The calculations of other countries in the region are taken up too. The account is limited to the diplomats’ point of view. What is said is their own assessment. Dennis Ross and Martin Indyk appear in the one hundred eight minute documentary. It is an Israeli and British production Dror Moreh finished in 2021.
