What The Dead End Is About
Three men involved in a serious crime seven years ago have lived as brothers ever since and are raising a baby they found together. When the little girl's illness forces them into the records, the past resurfaces, and a policeman is on them. The summary on our record is actually a few lines lifted from a review and does not describe the film. Cao Baoping is asking not who the criminal is but what it means to serve a sentence. The three leads shared the best actor prize at Shanghai, and the bond between two of them is the most discussed thing in it.
