What The Good Life Is About
In Santiago the lives of four people who do not know one another brush past each other inside the city. A psychologist who wants to help women, a hairdresser saving up for a car, a musician hoping to get into the philharmonic and a young woman simply trying to stay afloat in the city; each of them reaches for what they want and meets something quite different. The film does not tie the four strands together with a forced coincidence, but sets them side by side as things happening at the same time in the same place. Aline Küppenheim, Alfredo Castro and Manuela Martelli appear in Andrés Wood’s hundred and eight minute Chilean production; it was completed in 2008.
