What The King's Avatar: For the Glory Is About
A feature that works as a prequel to The King's Avatar animated series, following Ye Xiu as he enters the professional scene of the online game Glory and competes in the first Pro League tournament. The series, adapted from the web novel of the same name, was one of the works that turned competitive gaming into a mainstream subject in Chinese animation, and the film mostly establishes where that world began. It is a reasonable entry point for newcomers, though the game terminology and the size of the cast move quickly.
