The Kiss of Death

Cheng, a textile worker, is raped one night by five men. The film does not lay the attack out as a scene; what it tells is what is left afterwards. Cheng tries to put her life back together, but nothing is as it was. She takes a job in a club, and there she meets the owner, a former fighter. He gave up fighting after an injury. Cheng goes after the men who attacked her. In the meantime a doctor tells her she caught an illness from the attack. She asks the owner to teach her to fight; he refuses at first and then agrees. Chen Ping and Lo Lieh appear in Ho Meng-Hua’s ninety eight minute Hong Kong film, completed in 1973.
