What The Last Hammer Blow Is About
Victor lives modestly on the edge of Montpellier with his mother, who has cancer. He knows nothing about music and nothing about his father, a well known conductor who has come to the city to conduct Mahler's sixth symphony. Victor decides to step out of the shadows, for his mother Nadia, for Luna whom he has fallen for, and for a future that has suddenly stopped being certain. Alix Delaporte took the title from the hammer blows that close Mahler's sixth. Romain Paul won the Marcello Mastroianni Award at Venice in 2014, with Clotilde Hesme as the mother and Gregory Gadebois as the father.
