The summer of 1996, a small village in Flanders. Rik, Tim, Roel and Bart, all seventeen, are spending their days aimlessly in a place where nothing happens. Rik becoming fascinated with the mysterious Sandrine upsets the balance between the four of them. What they do without thinking pulls them into something hard to get out of, and that summer turns out to be the last one for all of them. The film gives the end of adolescence as a moment of loss; nobody here means any harm, and nobody knows how to stop either. Joost Wynant’s ninety five minute Belgian film was completed in 2007.
