The Pistol Shrimps

There is an amateur basketball league in Los Angeles. Only women play in it. Most of the players are not professional athletes. Some of them are actresses. There are musicians, writers and comedians too. Mothers are on the court as well. The team names were chosen for the joke in them. One is called Traveling Pants. Another is Space Glam. The documentary follows the league. Practices, games and the changing room. Nobody is building a career here. They play for another reason. To be together and to enjoy it. The games are taken seriously all the same. Aubrey Plaza and Stephanie Beatriz are among those in the seventy five minute film, an American production Brent Hodge finished in 2016.
