The Zen of Bennett

Tony Bennett is eighty five when the documentary is made. He has been on stage for more than sixty years. His voice is still there. The film watches him in the studio. He is recording a new album of duets. Musicians from different generations come in to sing with him. Lady Gaga is one of them. Aretha Franklin is on the record as well. The session with Amy Winehouse stands apart. That recording turned out to be among her last. The camera takes in the rehearsals and the talk between takes. Bennett explains how he sees the work. He talks about patience and about measure. Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga appear in the eighty four minute documentary, an American production Unjoo Moon finished in 2012.
