Time Indefinite

Ross McElwee makes documentaries. He turns the camera on his own life. The film begins with his marriage. The losses follow. First his grandmother dies. Then his wife has a miscarriage. Less than a week later his father dies. The run of deaths shakes him. He falls into a depression. He cannot get death out of his mind. He spends time with Charleen, his old poetry teacher and a close friend. Then he goes to see his brother, who is a doctor, and through a series of conversations he tries to work his way out of it. Ross McElwee made the hundred and fourteen minute documentary, an American, British and German production finished in 1993.
