What TINY: A Story About Living Small Is About
Approaching thirty after a decade of travelling, Christopher Smith decides to put down roots, buys a few acres in the mountains of Colorado, and sets out with his girlfriend Merete Mueller to build their own tiny house with no construction experience between them. Alongside that they visit other families already living this way. The documentary profiles people who have chosen homes smaller than an average parking space, and what it is really asking is what a home is and how much of one anybody needs. The contrast between that choice and the near doubling of the average American house over forty years is the spine of it. Merete Mueller and Christopher Smith directed it together.
