What Tokyo! Is About
Three directors, all outsiders, each make a short film about Tokyo, and each sees a different strangeness in it. In the first a woman literally turns into an object, in the second a creature emerges from the sewers to roam the city, and in the third a man who has not left his flat in years attempts to step outside. The shared theme is plain: becoming invisible in a city and trying to become visible again. The parts are unequal and the middle one is the most contested.
