What Tomorrow at Ten Is About
The son of a wealthy man is kidnapped. The kidnapper hides the boy somewhere unknown and leaves a time bomb beside him. The police have to find the child before the bomb goes off. There is very little to go on and the clock is running. The film builds its tension not through pursuit but through time. When the kidnapper is killed, the only person who knows where the boy is is gone as well. A child’s life hanging on an address nobody can give any more is the real subject. It is one of the short thrillers of British cinema in 1963. John Gregson and Robert Shaw take the leads, with William Hartnell also in the cast. Lance Comfort’s eighty minute British film was completed in 1963.
