Travelling with Pets

Natalija was taken from an orphanage as a girl. Since then she has lived with a man much older than herself. Her life is spent tending his cow. They sell the milk to passengers on the trains that pass. There is nothing outside that arrangement. Then one day the man suddenly dies. Natalija leaves the body at the hospital. She stops at the church to say some prayers. She gives up the cow and takes a goat instead. One by one she erases the traces of his hold on her. In the space that opens she looks for a life of her own. Kseniya Kutepova and Dmitriy Dyuzhev take the leads in Vera Storozheva’s Russian film of 2007.
