What Where Is Winky's Horse? Is About
Winky is the daughter of a family that came from China and settled in a small Dutch coastal town, and by now she has a horse of her own. In this film she is trusted with something larger: she is to look after the horse of Sinterklaas for a while. But one day the horse runs off, and with the feast only days away the whole town starts searching; Winky does everything she can to find it. The account puts at its centre a child taking responsibility and grown-ups trusting her with it. Mischa Kamp’s ninety minute Dutch film is the sequel to Winky’s Horse; Ebbie Tam and Jan Decleir appear. It was completed in 2007.
