Yes Boss

Rahul, who works at an advertising agency, does everything his boss asks: lies, covers up, shields him from his wife. In return he has a promise that one day he will get his own business. Then he falls for the woman his boss is pursuing, and the promise collides with his conscience. Aziz Mirza directed. Shah Rukh Khan plays Rahul, Juhi Chawla plays Seema, Aditya Pancholi the boss. It is a typical nineties Indian mainstream comedy, but its question is clear: how much can be conceded for a career. What stayed with audiences most is the music; the songs by Jatin and Lalit were among the most played of the period. Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla appeared together in several films around this time and the ease between them carries this one. The moral is delivered openly and the ending is easy to predict. Who it is for: viewers who like nineties Bollywood comedy and the music of the period. Who it is not for: anyone after subtlety; the film says its message loudly.
