You Have No Idea How Much I Love You

The documentary watches a mother and her daughter. What is between Ewa and Hania has been difficult for a long time. The two of them sit in front of a psychotherapist. The sessions run through the whole film. The camera looks at one person at a time. It shows what happens on their faces as they speak and as they fall silent. The therapist proceeds patiently. He lifts away, little by little, the hard shell each of them hides behind. Old griefs come out from underneath. Those griefs are what blocks the talk between them. The longing for love and for acknowledgement comes from the same place. Neither of them finds it easy to say so to the other. The film never leaves the room. The director keeps his distance and does not intervene. The account shows why closeness is hard. Ewa Szymczyk and Hanna Maciąg speak in the eighty minute documentary. It is a Polish production Paweł Łoziński finished in 2016.
