You Love Only Once

Tomislav fought as a Partisan during the war years. When the war ends he carries the struggle on somewhere else. He takes a post in the secret police of Tito. He is bound tightly to the work. One day he meets a ballet dancer. The woman comes from a bourgeois family. That is, from the class the state counts as its enemy. Tomislav falls in love with her all the same. The affair puts his own position at risk. His adjustment to the post war order is slow as well. The distance between love and duty does not close. His loyalty comes to be questioned. The two things together could seal his doom. The film gives the air of a period through a love story. Predrag Manojlovic and Vladislava Milosavljevic appear in the hundred and three minute film, a Yugoslav production Rajko Grlic finished in 1981.
